We just celebrated our little guy’s first birthday.

Since we live in Arizona and I miss being near water more than I can express, we decided to give him an O-fish-ally One birthday party. It was just a little celebration with grandma, grandpa, and his great grandparents but it was so cute and came out great. I ordered the decorations as a package on Amazon and my little toddler loved it. Check it out in the picture below!

I also made him a special birthday breakfast that I want to share with you. It’s so simple and cute, and his big smile when he saw those little French toast fish was so sweet!

To make French toast fish for your toddler, buy some challah bread. You can use other bread too, but store-bought challah is thick so it holds together well, and also has a sweetness which is good for French toast. I don't normally buy store-bought challah but I bought it while we were moving, since I didn't have time to make my own!

Then I followed the super simple Classic French Toast Recipe, courtesy of food.com. Here's the link: https://www.food.com/recipe/basic-french-toast-147554.

Once I allowed the French toast to cool for a few minutes, I cut one fish out from one slice of bread and so on. Using both a knife and food scissor might be helpful! I placed some blueberries on the plate as eyeballs and bubbles!

Feel free to share if you made these and I’m sure your toddler will enjoy them as much as mine did.
